Welcome to Mrs. Farnsworth's page. I am the Enrichment Teacher and this is my 24th year of teaching in FCPS. In 1992, I graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a Master's Degree in Education, and a concentration in Gifted Education and Technology. I started teaching 4th grade in 1986 at East Frederick Elementary School. I have taught 4th and 3rd grades for 13 years, with this being my 11th year as an Enrichment Specialist. My position includes working with students in small groups, whole classroom lessons and on media/enrichment projects. This year, as part of our School Improvement Plan, my schedule includes working in math classes in the morning in grades 4 and 5, and on media/enrichment projects with 3rd, 4th & 5th graders in the afternoon. Additionally, I will work with small groups in K, 1 & 2. Challenging students with academic rigor is my most important goal in teaching.
